2011 The Kingwood Asylum
F.A.Q.
Hello scare seekers. This is our quick list of frequently asked questions.
Now I know you’re wondering how you can get in for free or how can you bypass the line. I’m sorry to inform you that the only way to bypass anything at the Asylum is to be committed. This isn’t something you want. Trust me! By the time you get through the Kingwood Asylum, the line you stood in for a few minutes will seem like a cake walk compared to the depraved conditions in Blackman’s Estate or PsyOps or the Hallowed Grounds. These three haunts will leave you wobbly, bloody, muddy and looking a little funny with that half crooked smile on your face.
As far as free goes… no chance. Everyone pays in one way or the other at the Kingwood Asylum. The patients suffer, the scare seekers scream and cry and we (the staff) watch in amusement as you rush to go back through. However, we are offering a $5 off coupon to our exclusive members who have signed up to receive our newsletter.
We will be updating this list often. Please drop us an email or comment below if you think we have missed something. Thanks and see you soon!
PARKING
- Where do I park?
The Kingwood Asylum has ample parking located right off of Northpark Drive. Once you enter the Kingwood Asylum property a parking lot attendant will help you find a space on our 1.5 acre parking lot. - Does the Kingwood Asylum charge for parking?
The Kingwood Asylum does not charge for parking. Although we do charge for admittance into the Kingwood Asylum, we don’t see the need to charge for parking. Please come and stay as long as you like. Your vehicle will be safe while you enjoy the Kingwood Asylum.
TICKETS
- What if I don’t have my coupon for the $5.00 discount?
The Kingwood Asylum would like to believe anyone that claims they signed up for our newsletter. Sadly, it only takes a few rotten apples posing as an honorary Kingwood Asylum inmates to ruin it for everyone. For that reason, please make sure to bring your coupon in order to receive the discount. - Can I go through more than once?
You certainly can. Just pony up another finger, Krugerrand or American currency and our friendly staff of mentally insane patients will gladly accept you back into their arms. Seriously! Don’t you want to go through again? Look in front of you. They just did. - Do I get a refund if I need to exit the Asylum early?
Once you enter the Kingwood Asylum you are one of our patients. If you feel the need to duck out early because your scared, sick, late to another engagement, etc, the Kingwood Asylum will not refund your admittance fee. - Can I use my purchased ticket on any date?
Your ticket is good for one entry on any date that the Kingwood Asylum is open. For instance, you purchase a ticket online and expect to visit the Kingwood Asylum on a Saturday. Something comes up and you are unable to visit the Asylum as expected. No worries! Simply bring your ticket(s) with you when you can visit and we will gladly admit you to the Kingwood Asylum.
CAN & CAN’T
- What can’t I wear in the Kingwood Asylum?
The Kingwood Asylum is full of splinters, nails and other painful objects that will most likely cut up your feet if you don’t wear shoes. No bare feet, open sandals, or high heels are recommended. This goes without saying, but we also prefer that you wear a shirt. We aren’t in the habit of giving out free piercings, but without a protective layer of cotton or like material, you might end up with one.
SECURITY
- Does the Kingwood Asylum have security?
The Kingwood Asylum has several HPD and security guards on premise. The parking lot as well as the entire grounds and asylum will be patrolled by a large staff of security personnel.
RESTROOMS
- Does the Kingwood Asylum have restrooms?
We have several Porta Potties on the property. You can rest assured that if the need arises, you will have plenty of access to the facilities.
WEATHER
- Is the Kingwood Asylum open if it’s raining?
Yes. The Kingwood Asylum is open if the weather is not playing well with others. Please note that you will most likely get wet and bloody whether it is raining or not. However, the Kingwood Asylum is sheltered from the rain; so please come on out and get scared.
SPECIAL NEEDS
- Is the Kingwood Asylum friendly for wheelchairs?
Unfortunately, the Kingwood Asylum is not suitable for visitors in wheelchairs. We do apologize for this inconvenience. We do have future plans to build a permanent structure that will be handicap ready. We would like to extend the following offer to our handicap visitors. When you arrive with your guests, we will accommodate you with a free soda and food item, plus a free photo with one of our characters in our courtyard while you wait for your party. Our goal is to also have some live entertainment there on certain nights to entertain everyone while waiting. So come on out.

i just printed the nazi and zombie coupons . was there a difference ? im wondering if they are two seoerate attractions or however many are there ? if so how much are they ? or do you get all of them in the 20 dollars we pay ?
Doctor Blackman
Hi Kristyn. Both of the coupons are for $5.00 off general population tickets. We wanted to offer our scare seekers a little coupon variety. We have three attractions at the Kingwood Asylum Two are housed inside and one is outside in Hallowed Ground. Can’t wait to see you!
Amanda
1) You say you have three attractions, are all three included with the one ticket or are they separate?
2) Do you have any group rates?
Doctor Blackman
Hi Amanda, all three attractions are included in the $20 ticket price. We have coupons available for anyone who signs up for the Kingwood Asylum newsletter. We also offer a $5 discount for anyone that brings 3 canned goods for our Haunt For Hunger food drive. Thanks!
Amanda

Kristy

Angela

Cheri

@ Amanda: I’m taking coupons and canned goods to the asylum tonight. I’m sure it’ll be welcomed. I don’t think that means we’d get $10 off, but 5 is just enough!
